Locums - York, Pennsylvania, Radiology Breast Imaging Job

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM

• Scheduled coverage; no call

• Minimum of 2 weeks to 4 weeks per month

• Weekdays only; no evenings, weekends, or holidays

• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

Practice Setting & Department

• Hospital-affiliated outpatient breast imaging center

• Part of a 593-bed community teaching hospital

• ACR-designated Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence

• State-of-the-art technology, including Epic EMR, Visage PACS, Transpara AI, and Rad AI

• Services include screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), and image-guided breast procedures

Patient Population & Volume

• Primarily adult female patients undergoing screening and diagnostic breast imaging

• Patient volume varies based on screening, diagnostic, and procedural needs

Support Staff

• Mammography and ultrasound technologists

• Breast imaging navigators

• LPNs and RNs

Responsibilities & Procedures

• Interpret screening and diagnostic mammography

• Interpret breast ultrasound and breast MRI

• Perform image-guided breast procedures, including:

  • Stereotactic and tomosynthesis-guided breast biopsies

  • Ultrasound-guided breast biopsies

  • MRI-guided breast biopsies

  • Image-guided breast needle localizations

• Interpret contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), with experience preferred or willingness to learn

Required Qualifications

• Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)

• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC accepted

• DEA required

• BLS certification required

• Breast imaging fellowship training or equivalent experience in comprehensive breast imaging

• Must be comfortable independently interpreting breast MRI and performing image-guided breast procedures
