Radiology - Interventional Physician

Locums Radiology coverage in Mississippi with onsite breast imaging and procedures, weekday days only. This is a quick start need with no call, and a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.

Highlights

• No call for the locum, nights and weekends are covered remotely.
• Fast credentialing, emergency or temp privileges in a couple of days once required items are received.
• Part time onsite need, minimum 2 full days per week with the ability to add days over time.
• Dedicated breast imaging volume, approximately 5,300 mammography studies per year, about 15 per day.

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient imaging.
• Predominantly adult patient population, occasional pediatrics present in the ED and typically sent elsewhere.
• Onsite reading with support from a PACS administrator, an IR lead, plus radiology tech and nursing support.

Schedule

• Weekday day shift onsite reading.
• Minimum commitment is 2 full onsite days per week, they are aiming to grow coverage to more days over time.
• No call responsibilities for the locum.
• Target start is mid October 2026.

Cases and Procedures

• Screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Breast ultrasound and breast MRI.
• Ultrasound guided, stereotactic, and MRI guided biopsies.
• Needle localizations, biopsy and localization volume is TBD, confirming.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Mississippi medical license required, they will not wait for a license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology, BE must be within 5 years.
• DEA and MQSA required.
