Radiology - Interventional Physician

Locums Interventional Radiology coverage in Kentucky with a predictable outpatient procedural day and light, offsite call structure. Adult-only practice with routine IR case mix and APP support.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient setting, adults only
• 340 bed tertiary care center, Trauma Level II
• May be sole IR physician, supported by 1 to 2 APPs
• Facility volume runs about 23 to 25 procedures per day, including ultrasound cases performed by APPs

Schedule

• Weekday coverage is Monday through Friday, daytime hours
• Weekend call required, not onsite
• Weeknight call when you are on shift during the day
• Coverage need is date based, specific dates provided in job comments

Cases and Procedures

• Typical cases include drain placements, biopsies, steroid injections, hemodialysis catheter placements, and mediport placements
• Physician volume averages 4 to 8 procedures per day
• Additional required and preferred procedures are listed in job comments

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology
• Active Kentucky license required, will not wait for license
• DEA required
