Locum Tenens Radiology Job Details

• Practice Setting: Busy Level I trauma environment
• Start Date: February 8, 2027
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 26 weeks, through August 9, 2027
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $13,300-$14,250
• Schedule: Weekday coverage, generally Monday through Friday, with approximately 40-45 hours per week as scheduled
• Shift: 8-hour night shifts may be scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; night call is needed approximately 1-3 nights per week
• Coverage Needs: Preference for approximately two weeks per month, with consideration for one week per month plus night call
• Clinical Volume: Approximately 30-45 cross-sectional studies per day
• Additional Coverage: Evening and weekend coverage may include emergent "hot seat" studies

Diagnostic Radiologist Job Requirements

• Board certification in Radiology
• Active Virginia medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Ability to interpret routine and emergent inpatient and outpatient imaging studies
• Comfort with selected diagnostic radiology procedures
• Dependable, professional, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

Diagnostic Radiology Responsibilities

• Interpret approximately 30-45 cross-sectional studies per day across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Read routine, urgent, and emergent diagnostic imaging studies
• Provide night call coverage approximately 1-3 nights per week
• Support emergent imaging interpretation during evening and weekend "hot seat" coverage when scheduled
• Perform or assist with appropriate diagnostic radiology procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically actionable interpretations
