Rail Data Analyst Junior Engineer

Build rail data expertise with Power BI as a Junior Engineer supporting Network Rail Consulting projects from Toronto, home, and Edmonton sites.

Network Rail Consulting is hiring an entry-level consultant for permanent, full-time work in Canada. The role focuses on organising engineering data, identifying trends and risks, and presenting findings clearly. You will support project controls, technical deliverables, and client-facing analysis under experienced colleagues’ guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and validate data from multiple engineering sources
• Analyse trends, issues, risks, and opportunities
• Maintain datasets, project records, and supporting documentation
• Produce Power BI dashboards and data visualisations
• Present analysis and follow up workshop actions

Requirements:

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent academic background
• Ability to collect, validate, interpret, and present data
• Power BI experience developing reports and dashboards
• Experience with Excel, SQL, or other analysis tools
• Strong organisation, detail, and task-prioritisation skills
