Job Title: Interoperability Engineer
Reports To: Assurance Manager
Contract: 6 months duration
Location:100% remote
Role Overview The Interoperability Engineer will lead and coordinate compliance activities across our project portfolio to ensure successful system authorization. Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders such as Approval Bodies (ApBo), Designated Bodies (DeBo), and the ORR, you will ensure that all National Technical Specification Notices (NTSNs) and National Technical Rules (NTRs) are identified, managed, and validated throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Interoperability Management Plan, Compliance Matrix, and Evidence Register.
Ensure full compliance against applicable NTSN baselines and NTR requirements.
Compile and manage evidence for Technical Files and Intermediate Statements of Verification (ISVs) to support independent assessment.
Identify, assess, and resolve interoperability risks, non-conformities, departures, and derogations.
Collaborate continuously with Design, Systems Engineering, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Testing teams to embed interoperability requirements.
Support integrated assurance activities by working alongside Safety, RAM, Security, Human Factors, and EMC teams to ensure a coordinated approach to authorization.
Monitor evidence maturity, drive the closure of evidence gaps, and track regulatory compliance actions.
