Responsibilities
  • Manage design interfaces across Rail Systems, Civils, Stations, and HS2 stakeholders
  • Maintain system-level Functional and Architecture Specifications and update ICDs
  • Coordinate interface resolution with contractors, designers, clients and internal teams
  • Promote consistency across subsystem deliverables and standardisation of subsystem specifications
  • Deliver RAM, System Safety, Interoperability, Security, and related management processes
  • Manage systems integration activities from design through construction
  • Support management of risks, opportunities, changes, and technical/commercial issues
  • Attend and contribute to stakeholder meetings in Birmingham and London; chair rail systems and civils integration meetings
Key requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Chartered IMechE, PWA Institute, INCOSE, CEng ICE or similar is desirable
  • Experience in major multi-disciplinary rail projects
  • Demonstrated experience with design integration and interface coordination
  • Proficient in design coordination, interface management and assurance documentation in railway projects
  • Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, and related regulations (CDM, CSM, RIR)
  • Positive and collaborative approach; enthusiastic team player
