- Lead telecoms design and engineering activities across the project lifecycle
- Provide technical assurance, design review, and engineering governance
- Support delivery of telecoms renewals, enhancements, and digital railway programmes
- Manage technical risks, interfaces, and system integration activities
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development
- Engage with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Degree, HNC, HND in Telecommunications, Electronic, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Significant experience within rail telecommunications engineering
- Strong knowledge of FTN/FTNx, fibre optics, IP networking, GSM-R, CCTV, PA, CIS, and telecoms transmission systems
- Experience within Network Rail or major rail infrastructure environments
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards professional registration (desirable)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
