R&D Technical Lead Engineer

In this Staff Project Engineer role within Moog's R&D team, you will contribute to the design, analysis, development, testing and qualification of flight and engine control products for aerospace applications. You’ll collaborate with engineers to drive projects from planning through technical oversight, delivering robust solutions for safety-critical systems. Expect hands-on work, cross-functional communication, and occasional travel to support customer-facing activities. • Design, analysis, development, testing and qualification of complex flight and engine control products
• Plan projects, estimate effort and duration, and provide technical oversight of staff
• Perform mathematical performance modelling (e.g., Spice, Excel, MathCAD, MatLab/Simulink, FEA)
• Create 3D designs and 2D drawings
• Apply knowledge of aerospace materials and fabrication processes
• Develop assembly techniques and tooling
• Develop qualification test methods and write clear reports
• Ensure aerospace configuration control and quality systems
• Present technical details to customers

• Degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience in electro-mechanical, electro-hydraulic and/or mechatronic control systems
• Proven project planning and execution capabilities with accountability for accuracy
• Ability to communicate at all levels and work in a team
• Overseas travel as needed
• Experience with aerospace materials and fabrication processes
• Familiarity with qualification testing and reporting
