About The Role

We are seeking an experienced React Native Developer to join our dynamic engineering team on a 12-month day rate contract basis, operating on a hybrid work model in Belfast. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting‑edge mobile solutions, contributing to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of cross‑platform mobile applications. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and backend engineering teams to deliver seamless, high‑quality mobile experiences for users across iOS and Android platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of React concepts such as Hooks, Context API, and state management.
• Experience with state management frameworks like Redux, MobX, or React Query.
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and third‑party libraries.
• Knowledge of mobile application lifecycle, deployment, and release processes for both iOS and Android.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar services.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience managing app releases on App Store and Google Play Store.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality mobile applications using React Native, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Build reusable components and scalable front‑end architectures that facilitate maintainability and future enhancements.
• Collaborate effectively with backend developers to integrate APIs and third‑party services seamlessly.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to mobile development.
• Assist in managing app deployment processes, including submission and updates on App Store and Google Play Store.
