In this role you will develop real-time embedded software for life-science instrumentation and robotics projects. You will join a team delivering complex embedded control systems and help push cutting-edge technology in medical devices. The role includes continual training to master new embedded developments and apply physics and math principles to engineering challenges. You will collaborate across disciplines to enable successful product development and impactful scientific outcomes.

- Develop and maintain real-time embedded software for control systems

- Experience as Embedded Software Engineer on complex technologies (preferably in industry)
- Proficiency in C or C++; openness to other languages with a proven learning track record
- Strong understanding of embedded real-time software and control systems
- Industry experience preferred; PhD/post-doc considered but not for recent degree holders
- Location in or willing to relocate to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
- Degree commonly held but industry experience emphasized over academic qualifications
