Regulatory Compliance Technical Lead

Apply regulatory expertise and risk-based auditing skills at FSRA in an onsite, 12-month fixed-term Technical Lead appointment. Support consumer protection through complex compliance work.

This Technical Lead provides regulatory guidance across FSRA-regulated sectors, including mortgage brokerage and administration. The position interprets requirements, advises on complex matters, and supports consistent supervisory practices. It also provides leadership across examinations, projects, stakeholder consultations, and regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise on regulatory compliance requirements
• Lead complex examinations and resolve sensitive compliance matters
• Review Senior Compliance Officers’ working papers and findings
• Analyze emerging risks, industry trends, and systemic issues
• Advise stakeholders on regulatory expectations and supervisory outcomes

Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field
• Minimum three years’ compliance, audit, or regulatory experience
• Knowledge of a regulated or related financial sector
• Experience with risk-based auditing methodology
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills
