Overview

Quant Capital is seeking a Release Engineer to own the test, build and release infrastructure for multiple projects in the financial services technology space. You will design and implement CI and testing processes, publish installation packages, and manage testing and release environments. You will collaborate with developers and testers to deliver high-quality applications, evaluate new technologies, and tailor release versions of the company’s products. This role offers a path into an implementation role with growth in financial services experience, based in Watford (London possible).

Responsibilities
  • Own the test, build and release infrastructure for multiple projects
  • Design and implement CI and testing processes
  • Develop and publish software and installation packages
  • Manage testing and release environments
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to deliver quality applications
  • Evaluate new technologies for projects
  • Build release and customize versions of the company products
Key requirements
  • 3 or more years of hand on release engineering experience
  • Experience with Java development
  • Exposure to Maven 2 build system
  • Scripting experience in UNIX and Windows environments
  • Experience with configuration management best practices, ability implement and support these practices
  • Experience with Subversion would be beneficial
  • Skill and ability to work and manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience with Websphere, JBoss, Hudson would be a bonus
