  • Act as the Release Train Engineer for the Agile Release Train, facilitating execution and continuous improvement
  • Serve as PI Master of Ceremonies and prepare, facilitate, and follow up on PI Planning events
  • Maintain Features, Enablers, and supporting scope in Jira
  • Coordinate priorities and dependencies with Project Managers
  • Engage customer stakeholders on PI priorities, scope, and sequencing
  • Own PI agendas and coordinate presentation content
  • Schedule and facilitate primarily virtual PI events
  • Produce PI-level reports and analyse trends such as scope creep and velocity
  • Lead Inspect & Adapt sessions, postmortems, and retrospectives
  • Track Lessons Learned and improvement actions across PIs
  • Own and manage release scope, including scope changes and stakeholder alignment
  • Reconcile PI commitments against release plans
  • Author customer-facing scope and release documentation
  • Own the Release & Activities Environment Schedule across all environments
  • Coordinate release and activity sequencing to minimise contention and delivery risk
  • Act as Configuration Manager and control deployments and environment changes
  • Bring changes through governance forums such as TAB
  • Coordinate deployments and cutovers with Engineering teams and the TIP Manager
  • Own build numbering and versioning standards
  • Gatekeep pull requests into release branches and verify reviews, static analysis, scope, commit standards, and conflict resolution
  • Merge release branches back into the main branch with Engineers
  • Verify Jira workflow states before merges
  • Conduct builds into environments and verify deployed builds
  • Author internal build notes and customer-facing release notes
  • Ensure Jira hygiene and workflow consistency before release cuts
  • Work with teams to resolve peer-review and release-readiness gaps

Demonstrates expertise in Agile Release Train facilitation, including PI Planning, scope management, and stakeholder engagement. Proficient in Jira and Git/Bitbucket workflows, with a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement in complex environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience performing RTE-like responsibilities in a large-scale agile environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, including workflow management and reporting
  • Understanding of Git / Bitbucket workflows and pull request governance
  • Understanding of Git / Bitbucket branching strategies
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-team delivery
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with engineers, PMs, and customers
  • Positive, delivery-focused mindset with a bias toward flow and production delivery
  • Experience operating within SAFe Agile Release Trains (desirable)
  • Experience in regulated or controlled delivery environments (desirable)
  • Familiarity with release governance, change control, and multi-environment delivery (desirable)
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and IaC (desirable)
  • Familiarity with software development, including Java (desirable)
  • Familiarity with databases (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operational skills (desirable)
