As a Backend Software Engineer, you will deliver creative improvements for engineering teams. The role involves RESTful microservices, object-oriented programming, databases, and public cloud offerings. You will work with experienced engineers, architects, product managers, and designers in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and ship features in distributed environments
  • Review code for readability, testing, security, and performance
  • Mentor teammates through formal and informal knowledge sharing
  • Ensure error reporting and monitoring for backend services
  • Participate in Agile development, including daily standups

Requirements:

  • Three or more years building backend applications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • Experience implementing scalable, performant RESTful microservices
  • Proficiency in a modern object-oriented programming language
  • Database, public cloud, and cloud architecture experience
