Remote Full-Stack Developer

Role Description

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer for a contract engagement based in Canada. The role is focused on strengthening foundational capabilities in an existing full-stack system. Work will involve improving reliability, clarity, and correctness across both backend and frontend components.

Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining application logic; improving data handling and API behavior; identifying and reducing system fragility; and applying sound engineering practices throughout the stack.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in backend and frontend software development
• Ability to design, debug, and improve complex, stateful systems
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices, trust boundaries, and data handling
• Experience with APIs, system integration, and reliability concerns
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments and operational constraints
• Comfortable working independently with clear objectives and acceptance criteria

Formal certifications are not required. Practical experience, sound judgment, and security awareness matter more.
