Remote IT Support Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically adept Remote IT Support Specialist to join their established support team. This position is entirely remote, providing crucial technical assistance to employees and clients across various locations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring seamless technological operations for the entire organization. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of IT systems, who thrives in an independent, work-from-home environment and excels at delivering exceptional remote user support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware , software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the company's IT infrastructure.
• Document all support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures in a knowledge base system.
• Assist with IT asset management, including tracking hardware and software inventory.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an IT support or help desk role, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
• Experience with network troubleshooting , including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a remote setting.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are highly desirable.
