Remote Research Engineer AI Evaluation

Apply Python 3, Java, Rust, C++, Go, or TypeScript expertise as a remote Research Engineer developing and evaluating coding tasks.

This contractor role supports a project focused on code generation, software engineering, and AI model evaluation. You will develop, review, and evaluate real-world coding tasks that train and improve AI systems. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, debug, and resolve issues across codebases
• Implement features for code generation workflows
• Refactor and optimize code for performance and maintainability
• Develop and review tasks evaluating AI-generated code
• Provide annotations supporting model training and evaluation

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in algorithms and data structures
• Proficiency in at least one listed programming language
• Experience debugging, implementing features, and refactoring codebases
• Open-source contributions or collaborative software project experience
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
