Reporting Services Developer

As a Reporting Services Developer at iSAMS, you will build and deliver high-quality SSRS-based reporting for schools, collaborating with customers to translate needs into practical data solutions. You’ll work in a specialist team focused on reporting, using SSRS, SQL and Power BI to turn complex data into clear insights. The role blends development with customer interaction and contributes to ongoing reporting improvements. You’ll have opportunities to train others and shape reporting quality across the platform.

• Design, build and maintain reports using SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI and in-house tools
• Gather customer requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions
• Develop custom reports alongside catalogue/template and built-in reporting
• Write and optimize SQL/T-SQL to retrieve and present data
• Own reporting requests, manage workload and meet deadlines
• Investigate and resolve reporting issues using remote diagnostics
• Keep Service Desk notes up to date with progress
• Collaborate with other Report Developers to handle complex requirements
• Suggest improvements to meet customer reporting needs
• Create and maintain technical documentation and guidance
• Contribute to team projects to improve report quality and efficiency
• Stay up to date with iSAMS reporting capabilities
• Review internal processes for improvements
• Attend in-person team meetings occasionally
• Opportunity to take on SSRS Trainer responsibilities if interested

• Hands-on experience creating reports with SSRS
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills with relational data
