Research Technology & Cloud Solutions Architect

Overview

In this role you will translate research needs into secure, scalable Oracle-based solutions and guide architecture, cloud adoption, analytics, and AI-enabled delivery. You’ll collaborate with Oracle Health Cloud Engineering, IT, security, and governance teams to ensure enterprise-aligned implementations. You will design and migrate analytics platforms, data workflows, and modernized applications while assessing feasibility, security, and operational impact. This position offers impact across research, engineering, and health analytics within a large enterprise cloud environment.

• Design technical solutions for research, analytics, data science and operational use cases
• Translate business requirements into architectures, implementation plans and documentation
• Design and implement solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services (Autonomous Database, APEX, Analytics Cloud, OCI Data Science)
• Support migration and modernization of legacy applications, databases, dashboards and analytics environments
• Evaluate feasibility, delivery effort, cost, security, and risk
• Guide research teams on cloud adoption, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions
• Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure on provisioning, networking, IAM, architecture reviews and release dependencies
• Ensure compliance with Oracle Health security, privacy, governance and data-handling requirements
• Support ongoing operation, enhancement and troubleshooting of platforms
• Evaluate third-party technology needs and recommend tool retention, replacement, or retirement

• 5–10+ years of cloud/solution architecture or related experience
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-based technology solutions
• Ability to translate complex requirements into practical designs
• Experience with databases, analytics platforms, dashboards, data workflows, automation or cloud migration
• Knowledge of cloud architecture principles, security, networking, IAM, and RBAC
• Understanding of enterprise security, privacy, governance and data-management requirements
• Familiarity with research, analytics, reporting, data science or applied AI environments
• Proficiency in at least one language/tech (Python, R, SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, SPSS)
• Strong written, verbal and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working across research, business, engineering, security, governance and delivery teams
