Reserving Manager - Syndicate

In this role you will lead reserving judgments and oversee quarterly and year-end processes within an established international insurer. You will manage a small team, partner with senior actuaries and stakeholders, and produce clear reserve analyses and reports for committees and regulatory submissions. Expect data processing, documentation, and external audit liaison, while driving process improvements through new techniques and technologies. This is a hands-on senior reserving position with a meaningful impact on Lloyd’s-avoidant or Lloyd’s-facing reserving activities.

• Lead reserving judgements and provide expert input for quarterly and year-end reserves
• Produce high-quality reserve reports for senior actuaries, underwriting, and claims
• Develop reserve-monitoring information for management and committees
• Contribute to regulatory submissions
• Handle data processing, documentation, and external audit liaison
• Engage with SAO providers and manage relationships
• Lead and develop the reserving team and improve processes with new technologies and methodologies

• FIA qualified actuary
• strong general insurance experience
• detailed knowledge of actuarial reserving techniques
• Lloyd's business experience (advantageous)
• people management experience (leading 3 direct reports)
