Ruby on Rails Developer

We’re working with a fast-growing SaaS technology business that is transforming the warehouse management industry through innovative cloud-based software.

They’re looking for a Ruby Engineer to join their collaborative engineering team and help build, improve and maintain their core SaaS platform.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and enhancing features using Ruby / Ruby on Rails
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Working closely with Developers, QA and Product teams in an agile environment
• Contributing to code reviews, bug fixes and system improvements
• Working with APIs, databases and cloud technologies
• Supporting CI/CD, deployments and application performance

What we’re looking for

• Commercial experience with Ruby
• Some experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
• Familiarity with RSpec, Git and APIs
• Exposure to AWS, Docker and CI/CD
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and secure coding practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
