SaaS Backend Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer at PTC, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑quality backend solutions for our industry‑leading platforms. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to influence architecture and drive innovation across the product lifecycle. You’ll focus on secure, multi‑tenant SaaS delivery and continuous improvement. • design, build, and maintain scalable backend software
• collaborate with cross‑functional teams on architecture and product lifecycle
• improve security, authentication, and data access controls for SaaS
• contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• debug, diagnose, and optimize performance and reliability
• participate in requirements and architectural decisions

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS/Express), and Angular
• experience building multi‑tenant SaaS applications with tenant isolation and scalability
• REST APIs, API versioning, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, JWTs, JWKs, security best practices
• PostgreSQL or similar relational DBs; familiarity with key‑value/document stores
• Git and GitLab CI/CD workflows; automated build/test pipelines
• understanding of asynchronous patterns (queues, messaging, events)
• secrets management and key/certificate rotation
• strong automated testing (unit, integration, E2E), debugging, analytical skills
