Sales Tax Consultant

To support clients with complex sales and use tax needs, the remote Sales Tax Consultant will leverage over 7 years of experience to manage client engagements, conduct nexus studies, and drive business development opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Lead client engagements involving multi-state sales and use tax compliance and advisory needs Proactively identify and develop new consulting opportunities through professional networks and market activity Assess existing sales tax processes and recommend improvements for compliance and reporting Required Qualifications: 7+ years of progressive sales and use tax experience, particularly with complex multi-state matters Strong technical knowledge of sales and use tax compliance and related advisory services Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and generating new business Experience with sales tax technology and automation platforms such as Avalara and TaxJar Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred; CPA or relevant certification is a plus
