The Role

Higher Education is undergoing a massive digital shift, and we need a Salesforce Developer who can help us to modernise the digital experience across the entire student lifecycle leveraging the Salesforce Education Cloud. At PA, you will be part of a team that respects technical craft. We aren’t looking for someone to simply clear a ticket queue; we need a developer who considers the long-term scalability of their work and takes pride in creating elegant solutions to the nuanced problems faced by modern universities.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions on Salesforce Education Cloud to enhance the student lifecycle experience.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools within Salesforce.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs and middleware, ensuring data consistency and security.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and best practices, applying them to improve solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Essential requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Salesforce Platform Administrator certification, Education Cloud Consultant certification desired.
  • Understanding of Salesforce architecture and its ecosystem.
  • Proficient with programming languages such as Apex and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and APIs.

Note: Some UK roles at PA Consulting may require UK security clearance. All PA people are required to undergo background checks and to achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard; some UK roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must have at least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK. Please ensure you meet residency requirements prior to applying.

  • Round 2: Either a competency or technical interview, whichever you didn’t do at first round (60 mins)
  • Final round: Meeting with a PA leader - a mini case study and discussion around your client-centricity (60 mins)
