In this role you own the target-state Salesforce architecture for Schroders’ global platforms, guiding principles and trade-offs to keep the ecosystem scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. You’ll shape cross-functional solution direction, connect Salesforce to upstream/downstream systems, and mentor engineers while aligning with enterprise architecture standards. You’ll drive DevOps maturity, harness AI features, and ensure regulatory compliance. This is a senior, impact-focused opportunity within a collaborative technology culture.

- Own and evolve the end-to-end target-state architecture for the Salesforce platform across public and private businesses
- Define architectural principles, patterns, standards and guardrails for multi-team delivery
- Lead solution design for complex pre-project initiatives and translate business problems into architectural direction
- Own integration architecture connecting Salesforce with APIs, MuleSoft, ETL and data platforms
- Govern platform integrity including data model, security, governor limits, org strategy, technical debt and release management
- Provide architectural assurance through design reviews and governance aligned to AMP and Global Technology lifecycle
- Take a holistic view of target state affecting business operating model and data architecture
- Drive DevOps and CI/CD maturity, including testing and release management
- Leverage AI capabilities (Einstein, Agentforce) to enhance productivity and client engagement
- Ensure architecture adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements (data privacy, marketing, client communications)
- Mentor engineers and analysts to improve architectural capability across the team
- Collaborate with AMP architecture and delivery communities to raise standards
- Coordinate with the Client Platform Architect to align with wider Client Technology and enterprise architecture directions
- Extensive hands-on Salesforce experience in a large global financial services organisation with proven platform-level ownership
- Salesforce CTA certification
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect; Platform Developer I/II desirable
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, sharing, governor limits, org strategy and best practices
- Strong integration architecture experience using REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns and MuleSoft
- Proven experience defining DevOps and CI/CD strategy and tooling (Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps); automated testing and release management on Salesforce
- Ability to define architectural principles and guardrails and govern delivery without bottlenecking
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid); modern engineering disciplines
- Detail-oriented with experience producing high-quality architecture artefacts and specifications
- Awareness of regulatory/compliance considerations affecting architectural decisions
