Overview

Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer – Integration

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid

Contract Role

Need - hands-on development experience with the SAP integration

Responsibilities

• Build OData APIs in ECC using SAP Gateway (SEGW) exposing BAPIs and Function Modules
• Develop CDS Views and RAP-based services in S4HANA
• Write optimized OO ABAP, OpenSQL, and SQLScript for high performance data access
• Configure and manage API security (OAuth2, SAML, Basic Auth)
• Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot integrations using Gateway and ADT tools
• Produce technical and API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)

Qualifications

• Strong OO ABAP, CDS, and OpenSQL expertise
• Hands-on experience with SAP Gateway, RAP, and BOPF
• Solid knowledge of OData (V2/V4), JSON, XML, and HANA performance tuning
• Proficiency with Eclipse ADT, SAP GUI, and API testing tools (Postman)
• Strong analytical and API design skills
• Ability to work across ECC and HANA-native environments
• Clear communication with both SAP and non-SAP stakeholders

Preferred

• SAP BTP and Cloud Connector experience
• Exposure to SAP Integration Suite (CPI) legacy PiPo
• Understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 consumption patterns
• SAP ABAP-HANA certification
