IS Applications Lead

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

We’re supporting a leading organisation in the search for an IS Applications Lead to oversee a complex applications environment, with SAP at its core.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring business-critical applications remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose, while managing outsourced providers, vendors and application change programmes.

The Role

You will:

• Lead the management and performance of the applications estate, including SAP.
• Manage third-party suppliers, contracts and service delivery.
• Oversee application upgrades, releases and improvement projects.
• Drive governance, compliance, risk management and audit activities.
• Support cyber security, incident response and business continuity.
• Manage application licensing, roadmaps and lifecycle activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support business objectives.

About You

You will have:

• Experience managing enterprise applications within a complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and application change management.
• Experience working with outsourced service providers and vendors.
• A good understanding of IT governance, cyber security and audit requirements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and associated business systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills.
