SAP Archiving Architect

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for strong experience in SAP archiving across ECC and S/4HANA.
• We need hands-on knowledge of SARA, ADK, and ArchiveLink.
• We require experience with OpenText archiving solutions.
• We need a strong understanding of SAP Basis environments.
• We value knowledge of data retention, governance, and compliance requirements.
• We expect experience managing large SAP data volumes and performance optimisation.
• SAP ILM experience is desirable.
• Experience with OpenText or similar content management platforms is desirable.
• Knowledge of HANA data volume optimisation is desirable.
• Experience supporting S/4HANA conversions or migrations is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We own and drive the SAP archiving lifecycle across ECC and S/4HANA systems.
• We design and implement archiving strategies aligned to business, audit, and compliance needs.
• We deliver hands-on configuration and execution using SARA, ADK, ArchiveLink, and ILM.
• We reduce database growth and improve system performance and storage efficiency.
• We ensure readiness for audit, retention, and regulatory requirements.
• We work closely with Basis, Functional, Security, and Audit teams.
• We define governance standards, controls, and documentation for archiving processes.
• We provide clear guidance to business stakeholders on archiving strategy and impacts.

We are a globally established organisation offering a permanent SAP Archiving Consultant / Architect role with a salary of up to £85,000 plus bonus and benefits. This is a full-time position based in London or Manchester with a hybrid working model of three days per week onsite. In this role, we are focused on improving system performance, reducing data growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the long‑term sustainability of our SAP platform across ECC and S/4HANA environments. The role offers strong exposure to large‑scale transformation and enterprise‑wide archiving strategy within a complex SAP landscape.
