Overview

In this SAP Developer role, you will enhance and support SAP solutions across the full lifecycle, delivering new functionality and resolving issues to keep ERP systems secure and reliable. You will collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to meet evolving business needs. The role spans ABAP development, analysis, testing, and ongoing support within a regulated manufacturing setting. You will help scale and improve critical enterprise applications that enable core operations. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position with a meaningful impact on operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance and maintain SAP applications using ABAP
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Support full SDLC activities including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
  • Investigate and resolve issues and service requests within SLAs
  • Deliver system enhancements, configuration changes and new functionality
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for applications and changes
  • Monitor queues and change management to prioritise requests
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers and internal teams to deliver capabilities
  • Ensure SAP application security, integrity and availability
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical processes
  • Support integrations and data exchange between enterprise systems
  • Keep configuration and change records up to date
Key requirements
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an IT-related discipline
  • Strong SAP R/3 development experience
  • Proven ABAP programming experience
  • Experience supporting and developing business-critical enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and delivery processes
  • Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
