Overview

In this role you will provide expert SAP FICO functionality and lead financial system improvements. You will support, enhance, and transform SAP Finance processes within SAP PR1 and SAP S/4HANA programs, collaborating with global Finance and IT stakeholders. The position involves production support, integration work, and delivering project-based enhancements to optimize financial operations. This is a senior-capacity opportunity to shape finance processes in a large multinational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2/3 production support for the SAP PR1 environment and resolve incidents and requests
  • Lead SAP FICO enhancements, from design to testing and deployment, within PR1
  • Translate business requirements into functional specs and collaborate with ABAP and integration teams
  • Ensure SAP best practices, governance, and change management compliance
  • Support and maintain integrations between SAP PR1 and other financial systems within the Thermo Fisher ecosystem
  • Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and hypercare for GBS initiatives
  • Provide functional consulting for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and advise on finance process design
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience including production support, enhancements, and project delivery
  • 5+ years of expertise in SAP FI modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Financial Closing)
  • 5+ years of expertise in SAP CO modules (Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing)
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and managing SAP integrations with enterprise financial systems
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and integration projects
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
