SAS-to-Python migration defines this fully remote developer role with Adastra, supporting modernization across Canada or the United States during CST hours.

As an intermediate to senior-level developer, you will interpret SAS workloads and build Python solutions. The work combines Anaconda, SQL, Unix automation, databases, and analytical modernization. You will collaborate with business and technical teams on migration objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and design scalable technical solutions
  • Migrate SAS programs, datasets, and processes to Python
  • Develop, test, and maintain Python applications and scripts
  • Build Unix automation and data processing pipelines
  • Document code and maintain Git repositories

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to senior-level development experience
  • Proficiency in Python, Anaconda, SQL, and SAS
  • Experience with Netezza, Redshift, or relational databases
  • Strong Linux or Unix scripting experience
  • Unit testing, debugging, and code optimization experience
