Overview

In this role, you will build and operate secure, automated AWS cloud platforms that enable development, testing, and deployment within a private beta environment. You will partner with engineering, architecture, and assurance teams to deliver platform services, CI/CD pipelines, and observability that meet governance and operational requirements. Your work will focus on resilience, automation, and secure delivery at scale in a regulated setting. This is an opportunity to shape the cloud foundations for a major programme while leveraging your SC clearance and hands-on engineering skills.

Responsibilities
  • Build and operate AWS cloud infrastructure and shared platform services
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Create and support CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability
  • Ensure platform resilience, availability and operational readiness
  • Manage configuration, secrets and environment controls
  • Embed security best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineering and assurance to meet security and operational requirements
  • Drive automation and platform engineering best practices
Key requirements
  • Strong AWS cloud engineering and platform experience
  • Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Cloud Infrastructure roles
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong observability, monitoring and operational support understanding
  • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secrets management and governance controls
  • Experience delivering production cloud environments within secure or regulated settings
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
  • Active SC Clearance, used in the last 12 months, with at least 3 years before expiry
  • Ability to attend a London office 2 days per week
