Overview

In this role you will drive technical project delivery and provide platform-level support to ensure seamless transitions to BAU. You will act as the SME for virtualization technologies and play a key part in knowledge transfer. You will support BAU operations during peak demand and collaborate with HMRC teams and suppliers to align technical delivery. You may participate in on-call rotations, contributing to delivery continuity and service resilience. This position offers exposure to enterprise virtualization, Windows Server, and server infrastructure in a multi-team environment, with scope to influence platforms and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to projects across design, implementation, testing and transition to BAU
  • Serve as SME for virtualization technologies and support knowledge transfer
  • Support BAU operations and front-line fixes during high-demand periods
  • Coordinate technical delivery with HMRC teams and suppliers across projects
  • Participate in on-call support arrangements
Key requirements
  • Expert-level experience with VMware, vSphere and Horizon
  • Windows Server administration (2012 R2, 2016, 2019)
  • HPE server infrastructure support
  • Active Directory administration
  • SCCM knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Basic networking and DC management activities
