Our client is a technology-led consultancy delivering secure digital services and transformation programmes across the UK Central Government and Defence sectors.
They are currently seeking an SC Cleared Interaction Designer to support the delivery of a high-profile digital programme. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help design intuitive, accessible and user-centred services that meet both user needs and Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
This role will suit someone with strong public sector experience who is comfortable working closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Product Managers and Technical Delivery teams throughout the full service lifecycle.
What you'll do:
- Design user journeys, workflows and interaction patterns for complex digital services
- Create wireframes, prototypes and user flows to communicate design decisions
- Translate user research findings into effective design solutions
- Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams to shape and improve services
- Ensure designs align with GDS standards, design systems and accessibility requirements
- Facilitate workshops and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support services through assessment and delivery phases
Key requirements:
- Active SC Clearance, used within the last 12 months
- Experience delivering Interaction Design services within Central Government or Defence environments
- Strong understanding of GDS Service Standards and Government Design Principles
- Experience producing wireframes, prototypes and user flows using Figma or similar tools
- Comfortable working within multidisciplinary Agile teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable experience:
- Defence Digital, MOD, Home Office or wider National Security experience
- Experience supporting GDS service assessments
- Knowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards
