WearerecruitingSCADA/EMSAnalyststosupportautilitytransformationprogrammewithintheEnergy/SmartGridsector.YouwillundertakedetailedanalysisandrequirementsdefinitionforSupervisoryControlandDataAcquisition(SCADA),EnergyManagementSystem(EMS)andassociatedoperationalapplicationswithintheEMS/LSATworkstream.

Workingwithcontrolroomusers,powersystemspecialists,technicalteamsanddeliverypartners,youwilltranslateoperationalneedsintoclear,testablerequirements.Therolewillsupportimprovementstothesystemsusedtomonitor,manageandanalyseelectricitynetworkoperations.

Responsibilities

  • Leadworkshopswithoperationalusersandtechnicalstakeholderstocaptureandvalidatesystemrequirements.
  • AnalyseexistingSCADA/EMSfunctionality,operationalworkflowsandsysteminterfaces.
  • Documentcurrentandfutureprocesses,identifyinggaps,constraintsandimprovementopportunities.
  • Producedetailedfunctionalrequirements,usecases,businessrulesandacceptancecriteria.
  • Capturerequirementsfortelemetry,alarms,events,networkvisualisationandsupervisorycontrol,whereapplicable.
  • WorkwithpowersystemspecialiststodefinerequirementsfornetworkmodelsandEMSanalysisfunctions.
  • Analysedatarequirementscoveringmeasurements,statusindications,timestamps,qualityflagsandassetidentifiers.
  • Defineinterfacerequirementswithintegration,dataandarchitectureteams
  • Capturenon functionalrequirementscoveringavailability,performance,resilience,recoveryandauditability.
  • Maintainrequirementstraceabilityandassesstheimpactofchangesacrossconnectedsystemsandoperationalprocesses.
  • Reviewsupplierspecificationsandproposedfunctionalityagainstagreedrequirements.
  • Supportsystem,integrationanduseracceptancetestingthroughtestscenariosandrequirements-basedvalidation.
  • Investigatediscrepanciesanddefectswithoperationalusers,suppliersandtechnicalteams.
  • Supportoperationalreadiness,procedureupdatesandtransitionintoliveservice.

EssentialSkills&Experience

  • ProvenexperienceanalysingrequirementsforSCADA,EMSorcomparableelectricitynetworkcontrolsystems.
  • Experienceworkingwithelectricityutilityoperations,controlroomusersoroperationaltechnologyteams.
  • UnderstandingofSCADAconcepts,includingtelemetry,alarms,events,supervisorycontrolandhuman-machineinterfaces.
  • Abilitytotranslateoperationalneedsintodetailed,clearandtestablesystemrequirements.
  • Experiencedocumentingprocesses,usecases,datarequirementsandsysteminterfaces.
  • Understandingofoperationaldataqualityanditsimpactonmonitoringanddecision-making.
  • Experiencesupportingtesting,defectinvestigationandrequirementsvalidation.
  • Abilitytoassessdependenciesandtheoperationalimpactofproposedsystemchanges.
  • Stronganalytical,documentationandstakeholderengagementskills.
  • Anappreciationoftheavailability,reliabilityandsafetyconsiderationsassociatedwithoperationalelectricitysystems.
