Scala Full Stack Developer AWS

Build McAfee VPN services with Scala, JVM APIs, and AWS in a hybrid Full Stack Developer position based in Waterloo or Toronto.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will develop production services, APIs, and customer-facing experiences across the stack. You will use Scala primarily, with Java and JavaScript, while supporting AWS applications. The work includes secure software development and dependable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain services and APIs
• Develop Scala and contribute to Java and JavaScript codebases
• Deliver features end to end with client and frontend teammates
• Diagnose production issues and improve reliability and performance
• Collaborate on AWS deployments and infrastructure changes

Requirements:

• Production service development experience in Scala, Java, or another JVM language
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs
• Experience writing secure code and remediating security issues
• Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and deployment practices
• Strong debugging, testing, and code-review skills
