Scala Full-Stack Developer McAfee VPN

Build McAfee VPN services with Scala and JVM expertise in a hybrid Full-Stack Developer position based in Waterloo or Toronto, Canada.

As a Full-Stack Developer, you will develop production services, APIs, and customer-facing experiences across modern and established systems. You will contribute to Java and JavaScript codebases while supporting AWS-hosted applications. The work emphasizes secure software development, reliable production operations, and maintainable engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain services and APIs
• Develop Scala and contribute to Java and JavaScript codebases
• Deliver features with client and frontend teammates end to end
• Diagnose production issues and improve reliability and performance
• Remediate vulnerabilities across code, dependencies, and infrastructure

Requirements:

• Production services experience in Scala, Java, or another JVM language
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs
• Security background with secure coding and vulnerability remediation experience
• Experience incorporating security practices into software development lifecycles
• Familiarity with AWS-hosted applications and deployment practices
