We are seeking a number of Scalers to join leading local employer.
 
This is a highly physical, safety-critical position operating within a fast-paced, heavy industry environment.
  What You’ll Be Doing  

• Surface Descaling, operating high-pressure water jets, mechanical rollers, and chemical processing equipment to strip iron oxide layers from hot and cold steel.
• Using heavy-duty pneumatic tools (needle scalers, air chisels, and grinders) to clean intricate components, moulds, and structural joints.
• Clearing built-up residue from steel, furnaces, and other areas

  What We Are Looking For  

• Previous experience working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment
• Capability to handle heavy-duty manual labour and operate tools for extended periods of time
• A strict commitment to health and safety regulations
• Readiness to work a rotating shift pattern (10-12 hour shifts which includes weekends) to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
