Overview

In this role you will deliver onsite ICT support within a large secondary school, ensuring reliable IT services for staff, students and visitors. You’ll resolve incidents, deploy devices, and support school events, contributing to a high-availability learning environment. You work closely with ICT colleagues to maintain smooth operations and customer-focused service. This position offers hands-on experience in education tech, with opportunities to shape teaching and learning through robust ICT services. You will thrive in a collaborative, service-oriented setting and gain exposure to a range of technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face and remote support to students, staff and visitors
  • Log, manage, and resolve ICT incidents within SLAs and KPIs
  • Build, configure, and deploy end-user devices for staff and students
  • Install and update applications on user devices
  • Support printers, projectors and other school equipment
  • Complete administrative tasks including asset management and documentation
  • Support school events such as open evenings and parents' evenings
  • Collaborate with other ICT engineers to maintain high availability environment
Key requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
  • Experience supporting hardware and software (PCs, laptops, printers, projectors)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals in a managed environment
  • Familiarity with mixed Apple and Microsoft environments and basic Apple device support
  • Experience building and deploying end-user devices across OSs
  • Knowledge of networked printers/MFD devices
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for non-technical users
  • Proactive problem-solving and organised approach
  • Experience in IT support or customer-focused environments (education experience desirable)
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to pass Enhanced DBS check
