Scrum Master

As Scrum Master at Barclays, you enable Agile delivery by guiding Scrum practices, removing impediments, and improving team collaboration. You will bridge the gap between engineering squads and external stakeholders, ensuring steady, value-driven iterations. You’ll coach teams, promote continuous improvement, and oversee governance and reporting to support enterprise objectives. This role offers the chance to shape delivery at scale and contribute to a high-performing, cross-functional engineering culture.

• Facilitate Scrum events and keep them productive within timeboxes
• Maintain iteration cadence, refine backlog, and ensure stakeholder feedback informs delivery
• Improve flow by identifying and removing blockers and making work visible with metrics
• Identify and escalate risks; shield squads from interruptions
• Coach and develop high-performing agile teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement (business, product, vendors) and build trust
• Ensure data quality and participate in governance forums as applicable

• Proven experience leading Agile delivery and facilitating Scrum ceremonies
• Experience engaging stakeholders and providing regular status updates
• Coaching and mentoring teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement
• Experience in SAFe or other large-scale Agile environments (valued)
• Ability to use metrics and governance processes to drive performance improvements
• Track record of identifying, managing, and resolving delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments
