Scrum Master

As Scrum Master in Softcat's Internal Technology Team, you coach and facilitate agile ways of working to help squads deliver value. You will guide Scrum ceremonies, support the Product Owner, and drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role sits at the heart of a technology transformation, enabling cross-functional collaboration and faster delivery. You’ll contribute to shaping a collaborative, learning culture and play a key part in the company’s evolving technology strategy.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Guide teams on Scrum roles, events, and artefacts
• Collaborate with Product Owner to refine backlog and ensure readiness for development
• Track delivery metrics and identify trends for improvement
• Promote agreements and estimates to improve predictability and throughput
• Escalate blockers that the team cannot resolve independently

• Experience supporting Agile or Scrum teams
• Strong facilitation and communication skills with a collaborative, coaching-focused style
• Understanding of Agile principles and Scrum mechanics
• Ability to identify and escalate risks, blockers and dependencies
• Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, technical teams and stakeholders
