Overview

You will guide cross-functional teams in agile ways of working to deliver value across multiple applications. As a Scrum Master, you’ll coach teams, support Product Owners, and nurture a high-performing, delivery-focused culture. You’ll contribute to organization-wide Agile initiatives and foster a safe environment for experimentation and continuous improvement. This role sits within the Technology Services group in Edinburgh with hybrid working options, offering an engaging chance to shape agile delivery at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate purposeful, effective Scrum events and drive continuous improvement
  • Create a safe environment for experimentation and inspect/adapt when plans derail
  • Act as servant-leader to promote self-organisation and collaborative problem solving
  • Help teams remove impediments outside of team control
  • Support Product Goal definition, refinement, and backlog management to deliver customer value
  • Support organization-wide Agile initiatives as an active contributor to the Global Agile Community
Key requirements
  • Experience as a Scrum Master in cross-functional agile teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Genuine passion for agile software delivery
  • In-depth knowledge of agile principles, frameworks, methodologies and practices
  • Proven servant leadership, coaching, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution and continual improvement
  • Experience creating Agile training materials for delivery teams and the wider organization
  • Experience supporting Product Owners with backlog creation, prioritization, and management
  • Ability to coach, mentor, teach and share knowledge; self-motivated with innovative thinking
