Overview
In this role you drive effective agile delivery within a major transformation programme, enabling multidisciplinary squads to achieve migration outcomes. You connect the day-to-day work with the wider programme, balancing agile practices with governance and fixed milestones. You coach teams toward ownership and predictability while safeguarding delivery from blockers. This role places you at the heart of a complex, cross‑functional environment delivering secure, future‑ready solutions.

- Facilitate sprint ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement) with purpose and outcomes
- Maintain prioritized, refined backlogs with Product Owners and Technical Leads
- Break down complex migration work into achievable increments and demonstrate progress
- Track delivery flow, commitments, blockers, risks and dependencies across application and network workstreams
- Identify and escalate impediments to prevent delivery disruption
- Coordinate interfaces with identity, infrastructure, security, testing, cutover, change, and other teams
- Maintain visibility of cross-squad dependencies and ensure clear ownership of actions
- Support realistic sprint and release planning based on capacity, readiness and dependencies
- Establish clear acceptance criteria, Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
- Provide timely escalation of risks and blockers beyond the squad when needed
- Use agile metrics to analyze flow, predictability and trends, driving continuous improvement
- Coach squads in agile principles and behaviours to improve ownership, collaboration and learning
- Help ensure governance and programme planning stay aligned with agile delivery
- Support readiness activities for migration and cutover events
- Capture and apply lessons learned for subsequent waves
- Proven experience as Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead or equivalent
- Facilitation of agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
- Coaching teams to improve agile maturity, ownership and delivery effectiveness
- Strong backlog management with Product Owners and Technical Leads
- Experience managing dependencies, blockers, risks and actions across multiple teams
- Experience in a governed programme with fixed milestones or deadlines
- Familiarity with applications, networks, cloud, infrastructure or enterprise tech delivery
- Ability to understand technical context to decide when specialist intervention is needed
- Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, security, QA, Project Managers and stakeholders
- Proficiency with common agile planning, collaboration and reporting tools
- Experience using delivery metrics to improve predictability and evidence-based decisions
- Excellent facilitation and communication
