SDET (Front End)

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will help shape and advance NatWest Boxed’s quality approach. You will work in customer-focused agile squads with product, design, and engineering peers to elevate testing standards and strategy. You’ll build scalable automated testing systems and reusable test code to speed value delivery. You will act as a SME, supporting engineers and aligning quality initiatives with business goals.

• Define and continually improve the testing strategy for new and existing products
• Drive the direction of the testing chapter to maintain high standards of technology and process
• Develop clean, reusable test code that is maintainable and extensible
• Build scalable automated testing systems to enable fast value delivery
• Support other engineers to test their software as a subject matter expert
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to shape the future of quality engineering at NatWest Boxed

• Hands-on experience with back end test automation frameworks and integrating these into the continuous deployment pipeline
• Awareness of cloud infrastructure and configuration
• Hands-on experience with ReactNative and front-end test automation frameworks integrated into the CD pipeline
• Knowledge of software performance and automated security testing techniques and tooling
• Strong understanding of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
• Experience delivering and testing distributed microservices in an agile team
