Overview

In this SDET role, you will design and maintain scalable test automation to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our products. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product managers and the senior engineering team to embed testing early in the lifecycle and support fast delivery. The role combines building automated tests, improving test strategies and contributing to tooling that boosts engineering efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test solutions across products and platforms
  • Build automated API, integration, end-to-end and non-functional tests to ensure quality, reliability and performance
  • Develop and maintain automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback and continuous delivery
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and architects to define quality strategies and embed testing early
  • Champion engineering best practices, including test automation, shift-left testing and quality by design
  • Contribute to internal tooling to improve engineering efficiency, test automation and developer experience
  • Support root cause analysis of defects and work with teams to implement preventative fixes
  • Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions and continuous improvement to uphold quality standards
  • Continuously evaluate emerging tools and approaches to enhance quality engineering across the organisation
Key requirements
  • Commercial experience developing automated testing solutions or software in modern engineering environments
  • Experience with API, UI and integration automated testing frameworks
  • Proven ability with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with native app testing frameworks (Espresso or XCTest) or Appium/Maestro is a plus
  • API testing using REST Assured, Postman or similar
  • CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows
  • Version control with Git
  • Cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices
  • Working within Agile development teams
