Second Line Analyst - Application Packaging

In this role you support secure, high-profile environments from our Nottingham facility, focusing on application packaging and deployment. You will work with cross-functional teams to import applications and execute test deployments, while troubleshooting issues to a 3rd line level. You’ll interact with business users, manage workflow records, and escalate where needed, shaping reliable software delivery. The position combines hands-on packaging work with problem solving in a dynamic, agile setting. This is a chance to contribute to a trusted IT operations team in a collaborative culture.

• Communicate with identified business users to coordinate tasks
• Update workflow records for assigned items
• Import packaged applications into SCCM
• Create AD groups prepared for deployment
• Conduct test deployments from SCCM (OAT)
• Escalate issues to team lead or local management
• Investigate application dependencies and escalate to technical authority
• Troubleshoot installation error messages and diagnose faults

• SC clearance must be obtainable

• Office365 experience
• Basic knowledge of the Application Logistics Lifecycle
• General Windows support and configuration experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of MSI and/or App-V technologies
• Basic VBScript knowledge
• Knowledge of SCCM (importing applications, collections, advertisements)
• Group Policy and local permission setting knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot application error messages and diagnose faults
• Ability to investigate complex multi-layered application dependencies
