Overview
In this role you help customers move sensitive workloads securely to AWS by translating regulatory requirements into scalable security and compliance solutions. You work with cross-functional teams to define risk and compliance approaches, support cloud migrations, and demonstrate automated compliance in the AWS environment. You will engage with executives and practitioners to address risk, regulatory, and auditing needs, shaping security assurance for enterprise clients. This position combines cloud, cyber security, and governance in a customer-facing setting with opportunities to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to enhance security assurance and compliance programs
- Define innovative compliance and risk management approaches for customers moving to the cloud
- Resolve security assurance questions and show how to manage risk and achieve compliance in the AWS Cloud through discussions, recommendations, and live demos of automating compliance
- Provide insights by channeling partner and customer feedback to AWS technology roadmaps
- Travel to customer sites as needed
Key requirements
- Experience in risk management and internal audit (risk assessments, audits, control design, enterprise control frameworks)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security or related fields
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA)
- 2+ years advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST 800-53, GDPR)
- Strong communication to speak with executives and technical teams
- Strategic-thinking about business, product, and technical challenges
- Customer-facing collaboration and teamwork
- Risk management and internal audit expertise
- IT compliance and regulatory knowledge (security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA)
- Experience designing architectures aligned with NIST 800-53 and GDPR
