Overview

As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at G-Research, you will design, deploy and automate security systems that defend a complex research-driven platform. You will mentor junior engineers and influence the security product roadmap across the organisation. You’ll own delivery of security infrastructure across diverse tech stacks and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enable scalable, secure discovery and innovation. This role combines hands‑on engineering with strategic security thinking in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own technical and delivery projects across Privilege Access, DLP, Email Security, Web Gateway, VPN, ZTNA, Firewall and SEIM
  • Contribute secure designs to the roadmap and strategic goals of the business
  • Participate in threat modelling and assess team systems with other security teams
  • Deploy, configure and maintain security infrastructure
  • Build security system integrations (e.g., delegated access, secure workflows, IaC solutions)
Key requirements
  • Broad enterprise infrastructure experience across Windows, Linux, Entra, firewalls and web proxies
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, tuning and supporting security tooling in production
  • Expert-level troubleshooting with a structured, analytical approach
  • Automation experience using Python, Bash or PowerShell
  • Understanding of Entra, SAML, OIDC and Custom Applications
