Overview

In this role you lead secure software development and testing across projects, aligning DevSecOps with security goals. You collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into pipelines, drive vulnerability testing, and ensure environments meet standards. You’ll drive security maturity and secure coding practices while enabling secure software delivery through cross-functional leadership and client-focused governance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee service delivery quality and ensure SLA/KPI compliance
  • Conduct client reviews to identify security enhancement opportunities
  • Manage secure development and testing across projects
  • Act as escalation point and coordinate with senior stakeholders
  • Support client engagements with test results and assessment reports
  • Embed security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines with engineering/DevOps
  • Maintain and improve automated security testing workflows
  • Support threat modelling and secure design practices at project level
  • Participate in security reviews of new features/apps
  • Oversee security testing planning/execution (static/dynamic analysis)
  • Ensure tooling is maintained and testing results are acted upon
  • Track vulnerability remediation and provide secure coding guidance
  • Monitor testing coverage and issue-resolution trends
  • Contribute to development/testing standard improvements
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in testing workflows
  • Track and report metrics for continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in leading secure software development, testing, or DevSecOps
  • Hands-on experience with security testing tools (e.g., Veracode, SonarQube, Burp Suite)
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10
  • Experience in Agile or DevOps environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Security or DevSecOps certifications (e.g., CSSLP, CEH, GWEB) preferred
  • Eligible for UK SC clearance
